Statistics (FY 2015)

Welcome to Waste Management

The City of Auburn has partnered with Waste Management of Washington, Inc. to provide curbside collection of garbage, recycling and compostables for all residents and businesses.

Collection Information

Auburn residents have weekly collection for garbage and compostables (yard and food waste) and every-other-week collection for recycling. Place containers at the curbside by 7:00 a.m.
If your container(s) were at the curb by 7:00 am and were not emptied, please report a missed collection by clicking here or call 1 800 592-9995 (M-F 7 AM - 5 PM, SAT 9 AM - 1 PM).
Waste Management observes three annual holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas (Dec 25), and New Year's Day (Jan 1). All other holidays will not affect your collection schedule.

Weekday holidays will delay collection by one day for the remainder of the week. For example, if a holiday falls on a Thursday, Thursday customers will be collected on Friday and Friday customers will be collected on Saturday.

Holiday Cooking Oil Collection

Available 365 Days a Year

Where do you take your used oil? There is a FREE drop-off station (open 24/7) located at Les Gove Park, 910 9th ST SE, Auburn just south of the water spray playground. Look for the cooking oil banner hanging on the fence and the black collection tank marked GENERAL BIODIESEL. Be sure to take your transport containers with you and leave nothing behind, (except your cooking oil in the tank!), so we can continue to offer this service for free to our residents. There are no restrictions on the amount you can bring to recycle. For more information and guidelines on all these events Click Here.
