PanIIT goes Golfing

A Golf Tournament currently titled "Geeks & Captains (GC)" will be held on 20th and 21st December 2008. The two-day tournament will have Industry Captains from a wide variety of Sectors taking part in the event.

PanIIT presents "IIT Idol"

The Reality Show bug has bit PAN IIT too! The best of musical talent across the 7 IITs will be showcased at PAN IIT 2008. IITians are encouraged to audition and send in their entries. participants will be judged by an eminent panel in association with a leading music television channel. Ameen Sayani to compere Musical Evening

Ameen Sayani will compere a 90 minute musical program where some of the best singers from India would be belting out the 70s and 80s Lata-Rafi Hits.

Known for his Golden Voice, Ameen Sayani was the popular presenter of the "Binaca Geetmala' program on Radio Ceylon. He remains the most imitated announcer even today and has appeared in many movies.

Kalakshetra at PanIIT

Come December, Bharata Natyam dancers from Kalakshetra ? Chennai's premier school of Dance - will be putting up an extravagant performance at PanIIT.

Kalakshetra was established in 1936 by Rukmini Devi, her husband George Arundale and their associates at the Theosophical Society. Kalakshetra is symbolic of the struggle for India's independence; as it was to culturally revive a country that was losing its identity under British rule.
