Greetings from Rural Innovations Network! Rural Innovations Network and IIT Madras present "L-RAMP Award of Excellence". Lemelson Recognition and Mentoring Program (L-RAMP) is a joint initiative of Indian Institute of Technology-Madras and Rural Innovations Network, supported by The Lemelson Foundation USA. L-RAMP supports 'Grassroot Innovations' that can eventually create an impact in the lives of the larger section of the society, especially of the rural population. L-RAMP provides - Funding, Mentoring, Network support and Recognition to the Innovators.
As an initiative to encourage the innovator community and to recognize their efforts, L-RAMP has institutionalized "L-RAMP Award of Excellence", an annual awards program. Through this award, we try to recognize various stakeholders' viz.

Who work towards making contribution to nurture and support 'Bottom of Pyramid' innovation and entrepreneurship. We are proud to share that Dr. A P J Abdul Kalam, former president of India felicitated the awards program as Chief Guest for L-RAMP award last year. This year's Awards function will be held on the afternoon of December 21st, in conjunction with the PanIIT 2008 Meet on the IIT Madras campus.
This year we launched "L-RAMP Award of Excellence" on 4th of October and 5th November is the closing date of receipt applications. Applicants can send their personal and innovation details to L-RAMP office in any A4 size paper. They can also download application forms from L-RAMP website.
